Avatar was released on Dec 18, 2009. I saw it the weekend it came out and I absolutely loved it. Although the movie lasts a staggering two-and-a-half hours, the experience is more than worth it. The action was amazing and the thrill of the 3D effects was great. At points, you felt like you were actually there and you wanted to reach out to touch whatever was floating in front of you. The characters were definitely right for the role, and some were just downright evil.
“I liked Avatar because the special effects were great and the whole story line was easy to get into and it really helped get my attention,” Grand Junction High School freshman Erin Lielkoks said.
This movie will take you on a remarkable adventure into an unknown world beyond imagination. The main character, Jake Sulley, must make a life-changing decision. He must decide whether to fight for the Navi, who have accepted him as their own, and betray the human race or to help the humans destroy and conquer the planet of Pandora. His decision will determine whether the Navi survive or if their race will be destroyed forever.
